Perfume to host MTV’S VMAJ 2012 and Unleashes Spring of Life Teaser

Fans were surprised to know that Perfume will be the hosts of this year’s Video Music Awards Japan. Concept photos for their appearance feature flowing  avant garde red dresses, symbolizing a mixture of “COOL” and “Japan”. Their 2011 hit Laser Beam was also nominated for Best Dance Video and Best Choreography. The VMAJs are scheduled to go live June 23, 2012.

Spring of Life to be released 4/11

It has been confirmed today that Perfume’s first single of the year will be released April 11th! A preview of the song can be heard below:

Spring of Life is the next song used in the CM series for KIRIN Hyouketsu Chu-HI. It’s predecssors in the CM series include Laser Beam, GLITTER and Kasukana Kaori.
