Perfume City T-shirt

Postby Meirin » Tue Apr 28, 2009 9:02 pm

What if Perfume City had their own t-shirt? I think it'd be kind of cool to see other people express their love for Perfume, as well as show that they're a part of this community (whether they just lurk the forum & visit the site, or if they actively post and participate). Kind of like how soompi has their own shirts, I think it'd be a cool thing to have. I'd definitely buy one. :D

Does anyone have any designs in mind? Obviously, it should have the Perfume City logo on it somewhere. There's a lot of custom t-shirt sites where we can publish them. I believe on cafepress you can open up a "shop" for free and upload your design there on various clothing items and merchandise.

I would buy depending on the price. XD Though I really want to buy one if the price doesn't suck up all the money I have...XD

I'd vote in favor of a design contest, and not in favor of bootlegging their concert t-shirts. We don't want to get too much in trouble, right? :9

I think we should have something that say "Near Future Techno-pop Unit". It's a cute phrase.

i agree with the contest..

but instead of selling it online..why not spread the design here on Perfume City..so that each member can print it on their own..or by groups...by country/state...
the expenses for delivery and stuff..will not much be a problem.. :xd:

I like the idea, I voted yes!
Next month Perfume City will celebrate its 3st year online, that could be the excuse to start a design contest for T-shirts.
I agree with horcruxes77... Our main problem is that we can't design a tshirt and then make different sizes or boy / girl version, that won't be cheap if we choose to centralize the printing and shipping.
But I was thinking on the contest, I could set a little prize for the most voted design if there's enough people willing to make a design.

It's actually kind of simple. For another site I was on, we opened up a cafepress shop for free. There, people can buy various sized t-shirts for the design. The customers pay for the shipping and cost of the t-shirt materials/manufacturing; no fees for the owner. If we don't put any markup price, then there's no profit going to Perfume City, which would help avoid any copyright lawsuits if they arise (which they probably won't...) The shirts & prints are good quality, and I assume people want to wear these for a long time.

The only problem is that there can only be one design per t-shirt type, so no "custom" t-shirts with users' names on it can be done realistically. But if the design contest only has one winner, it shouldn't be a problem, right?

And if people still want to print their own... well, you can do it both ways?

@philfart: You should go to a Perfume concert then.

well, i chose the depend button....since money is the issue for most of us here....i'm still a student so hardly to buy any items abroad......and if the price is ok so why not make one? and i agree with the contest design with only one design with the shirt.....and it is good that that "cafepress" exists...i hope this would be pushed through with an agreeable price.....

I guess we're still deliberating on that decision; if we should have them "professionally made" or have people print out their own. Actually, I think maybe we should have both options; give the members freedom to do what they want with the design (of course, with some artistic license limitations). :)

How about we start the contest now? I'm not sure about the guidelines for the contest. Maybe we can have your input, ekuseru? :yeah:

I have a suggestion: make them as unisex as possible. Or otherwise make two separate designs...
Perfume City logo, and a great photo of Perfume.
Just a suggestion; this doesn't have to go.

Unisex is probably a good idea. Most of Perfume's concert t-shirts were unisex (except for the recent Yoyogi concert; they had v-neck shirts for guys and long t's for girls :P).

Is there a high quality vector image of the perfume city logo? Maybe some people who are ready could get started with the design. :9
